Mike Cheek

My love for automotive started at a very young age. I was the kid that took dad’s lawn mower apart while he was at work, well eventually that lawn mower turned into cars and trucks. I started my career out as one does, basic general service tech stuff at Just Tires in Garner doing tires, oil changes and alignments.

Over the years I progressed my knowledge and moved up the chain to a certified line tech at Sir Walter Chevrolet in Raleigh for a few years. After about 10 years in the dealership world, I decided to take a leap of faith with this up and coming company Dealerlifts! Started out pretty green in the aftermarket world other than my own personal trucks before this place. After a few weeks it was second nature to me.

A few years go by, I answered the phone up front to help out our busy staff and James caught on to how well I handled myself with the customer and asked me to move up front and that’s when I decided to hang up my tools for work. I was sales manager for about a year and the opportunity arose for me to move up once again. I’ve been store manager for about a year and some change now and I love every second of it.
